Welcome to the abbeywood and Thamesmead U3A
We are a group of like minded people who come together to share the knowlege that we have acquired during a lifetime of work,business and experience As you can imagine each group within the U3A differs from the next,based on the location and social circumstances and interests However, the common factor is our affiliation to the Trust U3A (the National body), which in turn owes its allegiance to the International University of the Third Age. We are a small local group (currently just over 100 members) offering various opportunities for retired and semi-retired people to meet and to share skills, knowledge and interests with each other in a spirit of mutual cooperation. We have regular general meetings in the Abbey Wood Community Hall on the 4th Wednesday of each month (from 1:00pm to 3:30pm)
